Before this family move back to Australia later this year, they wanted photographs that captured some beautiful memories — images that showed what their life was like at this time of their life.


So instead of overly posed moments, we spent the morning doing the things they’d usually do together — playing in the bedrooms, running around the garden, heading to the park on bikes, then home for snacks.


This is what I love most about documentary style family photography: capturing the small, ordinary moments that make up a family’s story.


And for this family especially, these memories will one day hold even more meaning — a little glimpse back into life they once lived in the UK before returning home to Australia.
