This was my fifth shoot in 8 years with this awesome family. We had a Sunday morning in the park shoot, ankle deep in autumn leaves, and two boys who were absolutely brilliant to photograph.
We didn't do anything fancy. Just the things they already do—a walk, feeding swans, throwing leaves in the air, exploring and ice-cream and cake all round. The kind of ordinary Sunday that would normally slip by, forgotten in a week.
But that's exactly where the magic lives.
These moments - the leaf-throwing chaos, the genuine laughter, the ice-cream fun - they're the real fabric of their life right now. And I got to freeze it. To turn an ordinary Sunday into a permanent reminder of who they are and how their joyful life feels.
That's the beauty of documentary family photography. You don't need to do anything different. Just keep being yourself, doing what you love, and let me capture the extraordinary beauty hiding in your everyday. Because your real life is more beautiful than you realise.
