Yorkshire Family Photographer | Little Olive

This shoot was on a sunny morning in North Yorkshire with the very lovely Sarah, Suzi and one year old Olive. We didn't do anything fancy - just played around the house, had snacks, played on the bed for a bit then wandered over the road to their local park. But that's what made the shoot so special.

As a yorkshire family photographer, I hear this all the time: "we're not good in front of the camera" or "we wouldn't know what to do on a shoot!". The truth is, you don't need to do anything. The best family portraits happen when you're just being yourselves.

Documentary style photography means no awkward posing and no cheesy smiles - just real life, beautifully captured. Cuddles on the sofa, snack time mess, just hanging and doing daft things to make your little ones laugh - these are the moments you'll want to remember. How life was!

If you've been putting off family photos because you feel a bit awkward about it, I promise it doesn't have to be stressful. Let the kids lead and I'll do the rest!
